About Therese

“Storytelling, spontaneous, candid, artistic, fun, photojournalistic, imaginative” ... these are words used to describe my wedding photography.

“The photos are extraordinary”, "You truly have a talent for capturing the moment”, and “The pictures are fabulous - I couldn’t be happier”.

My photographic style has been influenced by over 20 years of professional photography experience as an award-winning photojournalist, a documentarian, and a corporate communications photographer. My images have appeared in books, newspapers, magazines, marketing publications, and museums all over the world; including Life: 100 Photos That Changed the World, The New York Times, People magazine, Children’s Hospital brochures, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Work recognized as award-winning

I have won awards for my photographic documentary of the lives of clients and caregivers at a hospice home for people with AIDS. A photo from this series has toured the world and has recently been republished in Life Platinum Anniversary Collection: 70 Years of Extraordinary Photography. This image also won the Budapest Award, a humanitarian award, in the prestigious World Press Photo Awards based in Amsterdam.

“I am just so thrilled with how the photos turned out. You did a fabulous job of capturing the moment; especially with all the candid shots. Out goal was to have a fun day filled with laughter. When I look at the pictures, I can feel the intent and spirit shining through.” -Doreen

When done well, wedding pictures are filled with spontaneity and emotion. They tell the story of your wedding day and express the personality of the wedding couple. As a photojournalist, I’ve learned that rather than stage every photo, I observe, reflecting the spirit of your wedding day through artistic, story-telling photographs. My photos don’t follow a format, but are as unique as each wedding itself.

I believe that your wedding should truly reflect your special day.

I enjoy working with the wedding couple to make sure that happens with a collection of photographs you’ll forever treasure.

Therese graduated with a B.S. in Photojournalism from Boston University and a Masters of Arts degree in Visual Communications from Ohio University.
